This song was used in one of my favorite episodes of Malcom in the Middle where Dewey is baby sat by Bea Arthur. It’s pretty fucking cute. She gives him an icing mustache. And they dance around before it cuts to her being under a sheet and being wheeled away by the coroner.
I really want someone to put this song in a movie (Mamma Mia doesn’t count), preferably in the background as a major character dies of a gang-inflicted wound, probably an arrow wound through his heart because this is a gang who likes their bow and arrows. And the woman who loves him is cradling his head in her lap and wearing a blue satin suit with a bowtie and actually, she’s kind of glad he’s dying because she knew they’d never work out in the end anyway. But she’ll be in mourning for a little while and then she’ll get his name tattooed on the back of her neck and later she’ll fall in love with an Italian butcher. You see that part during the credits. Don’t ask me why I think this would work, I just do.
