Again with the graduating?

Hi everyone!

I’m graduating from my level 301 improv course at Upright Citizen’s Brigade.

I’d think it was neat for you to come to our showcase where we will do our best to improvise within the format of a “harold”.

What is a “harold”?

It’d be pleasant to have some people there. Preferably people with very low expectations. Seriously if you saw my 101 graduation show, or my 201 show lower your expectations further than what you had for that. And then raise it a little because some of the people actually know what they’re doing. These people are not me. Then lower it again because the whole thing will seem funnier if you expect your private places to be scraped with wires and then they’re not. Because. Hey! At least your bits weren’t scraped with wires.

WE WILL SCRAPE YOUR BITS WITH WIRE!

When it is:

Monday, September 29 at 7:00pm

Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre

5919 Franklin Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90028

(cross street is Bronson)

What it will cost you:

Five dollars. Cash. Be forewarned they do not accept ass or grass. Also don’t drink on the sidewalk because some asshole told me this wasn’t Vegas. I know that asshole. I was just trying to get drunk.

The most retarded thing ever:

charging to see a showcase.

Post show:
afterwards we can grab drinks from “Birds” which is right next door and pretty okay as far as things go, if you’re into drinking and what not. All parties present will mutually agree not to talk about the unfunny horror that was witnessed. Or you can catch people doing a good version of ‘the harold’ right after it at 8:30. Fuck I might do that. Those guys are fun-NEE.

What I don’t promise:

Me being funny. In any shape or form. Laughs or Guffaws. Someone might deliver a chuckle. Might.

What I do promise:

Three or more moments of total awkwardness. Several cringes. Improv ejaculate. Two guys who are awful. Also maybe some laughs, cause some of these people its their second time through the program. I am not these people

Hope to see at least one of you there, or not. or whatever. I mean Heroes is back on. I think Chuck starts back up that day too. You should probably watch those. They’re both high quality well-scripted shows with excellent character development and overarching plots. That Zachary Levi guy is pretty funny to boot.
